Calder Trophy Odds 2027: Porter Martone Lined As Favorite Ahead of Gavin McKenna
Last Updated: July 23, 2026 2:42 PM EDT • 2 minute read X Social Google News Link
You'd be forgiven for being shocked when you saw Gavin McKenna wasn't at the top of the latest Calder Trophy odds, but it's easy to understand why Porter Martone is up there. The Philadelphia Flyers' sixth-overall pick in 2025 has already had an impressive cup of tea in the big leagues and is trading just ahead of McKenna at +250.
The Toronto Maple Leaf's first overall pick this year, McKenna is expected to be a generational talent. And he's trading at a very fair +300. But Martone posted four goals and six assists across nine regular-season games last year, and pitched in two goals and three helpers in 10 postseason games. Those types of numbers out of a rookie are very solid, and if he keeps it up, he'll be hard to move from the top of the board.
