Brazil looks to slow down Erling Haaland and Norway today in the Round of 16. My Brazil vs. Norway prediction highlights why the offenses will be the story, as both teams score plenty in regulation.

Brazil has a 68% win probability on prediction market apps, with kickoff from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., slated for 4 p.m. ET (FOX, Telemundo, FOX One). My best World Cup predictions below explain why Brazil should get the job done in regulation.

Each of these teams has scored three or more goals in two of their four matches thus far, and I'm expecting the offenses to once again be on display. While Brazil has two shutouts, those performances came against Scotland and Haiti, two offenses that aren't nearly as good as Norway's.

For as good as Haaland and Norway's offense have been, Norway's defense has struggled a bit at times. Senegal managed two goals, and the Ivory Coast finished with five shots on target and 1.49 expected goals. Therefore, I'm backing Brazil to win a high-scoring match in regulation.

Score prediction: Brazil 3, Norway 2

💵 My best pick: Yes - Over 2.5 goals (56 cents)

Norway has scored 10 goals at this World Cup, and that's despite resting Haaland and other key starters against France. While Brazil struggled against Japan, failing to find a second goal until second-half stoppage time, this offense has nine goals in four games.

While Over 2.5 is my best pick for this game, I'd also take Over 3.5, which is currently trading at 33 cents.

๐Ÿฆถ Who will score in Brazil vs. Norway?

Follow all of our expert soccer analysis for World Cup 2026.

Matheus Cunha, F, Brazil (31%)

While most eyes are on Vini Jr., no one is really talking about how effective Cunha has been at this World Cup. He has scored three goals, the second-most on the team, and he has 10 shots and five shots on target in his last three matches.

Cunha only had 27 touches against Japan, his fewest as a starter at this World Cup, which I think is driving this price down. But the Norwegians have conceded eight goals in four matches, with every opponent, including Iraq, scoring against them.

Best Brazil vs. Norway goal-scorer pick: Matheus Cunha (31%)

๐Ÿฅ… Will both teams score in Brazil vs. Norway?

Shutting out either of these teams is pretty much impossible. While I'm backing Brazil to win and Cunha to score, Norway has scored at least once in 17 consecutive competitive matches. The Norwegians have scored at least twice in 13 of those games.

Both teams to score (BTTS) pick: Yes (60 cents)
