💰 PGA Championship odds betting favorite

Scottie Scheffler (+480)

Scottie Scheffler has been the favorite by the 2026 PGA Championship odds since the market first opened last May, following his first win of the Wanamaker. He opened with odds of +400, and they've held steady since.

Scheffler started the 2026 PGA Tour season with a win in The American Express, and has since come second in three straight tournaments before the PGA Championship, including a solo second at The Masters, a T-2 at the RBC Heritage, and a solo second at the Cadillac Championship.

Scottie's "fine" still competes on the PGA Tour in many statistical categories, and he still sits in the top 10 on Tour in strokes gained: off the tee, strokes gained: around the green, and strokes gained: total. Rest assured, Scheffler is currently the most inevitable force in professional golf, and he's rightfully atop the leaderboard.

Rory McIlroy (+850)

After defending his title at the 2026 Masters, McIlroy is heading to Aronimink Golf Club with the most momentum of his career and a chance to secure his seventh major title. Historically, McIlroy has excelled on Ross layouts. While the course's undulating greens are a massive test for the field, Rory currently ranks fourth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: total, proving his all-around game is one of the best in the world right now. Rory played in the BMW Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in 2018 where he was 18-under and finished solo fifth.

Rory’s T-19 finish at the Truist Championship was largely due to a cold putter on Saturday rather than a breakdown in his swing. Historically, when McIlroy strikes the ball this well (leading the field in driving distance and proximity at Quail Hollow), his putting eventually "regresses to the mean," often resulting in a dominant victory the following week. At +850, you could do worse.

⛳ PGA Championship predictions & best bets

Let's dive into some of our favorite plays for the PGA Championship this week:

Cameron Young top 5 finish (+270)

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone playing better golf than Young right now. He's had seven straight starts inside the top 25 dating all the way back to the Genesis Invitational, and I'm surprised he's not closer to +200 betting odds as a result. Young is top 10 in both strokes gained: off the tee, and strokes gained: total, which should be enough to earn him a top five finish this week.

Long shot winner: Gary Woodland (+10000)

Don't look now, but Woodland is quietly putting together a remarkable renaissance season just in time for Aronimink. While much of the betting handle is focused on the heavy hitters at the top, Woodland offers an elite statistical profile for this specific course. He also possesses crucial course memory at Aronimink, having finished T-12 here during the 2018 BMW Championship with four consecutive rounds of 67 or better. On a long, demanding parkland layout that favors major champions who can handle thick rough and large greens, Woodland's current form makes him a massive value play to outperform his triple-digit odds. I'd price this long shot closer to +8000 for the week ahead.
