Baseball's brightest stars take center stage tonight, but the biggest question remains: who will earn All-Star Game MVP honors? You might want to take a look at the sleeper play we're sprinkling on tonight, too.

⭐ MLB All-Star Game MVP predictions

Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies (+1300)

This answer is simple - Schwarber will be leading off for an absolutely stacked National League lineup, giving him the best opportunity to put his mark on the game. Yes, he'll likely just get two at-bats as each manager tries to free up playing time, but his first plate appearance will come against Dylan Cease, whom he has some experience against. Schwarber is 3-for-13 with two homers in 16 plate appearances with an OPS of 1.144 against Cease, giving us a fantastic opportunity right off the bat to cash this play. After losing the home run derby in heartbreaking fashion last night, Schwarber is the best bet on the board.

Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros (+2500)

You can't talk about the potential All-Star Game MVP without mentioning Alvarez, who comes into tonight with six hits and two home runs across his last three games. Not to mention he's launched 31 homers at the halfway point and owns a 1.059 OPS that somehow continues to increase. He's also a strong candidate to be involved in a swing-off (remember Schwarber last year?), which could help his case to win the All-Star Game MVP. Go with the hot hand, and at +2500 betting odds, you could do worse.

Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers (+3000)

I personally love this play, and would have priced Freeman closer to +2000 betting odds given where he's hitting in this lineup and his specific matchup against Cease. Like Schwarber, Freeman has some fantastic numbers against the Blue Jays ace, going 6-for-19 with a .718 OPS lifetime against him. Hitting behind Schwarber and Juan Soto, and in front of CJ Abrams, Freeman has an incredible opportunity to start off hot for the National League and cash this long shot.

😴 MLB All-Star Game MVP sleeper pick

Ernie Clement, Toronto Blue Jays (+6500)

Nobody - and I mean nobody - will want to show up on the big stage more than Clement, who was on the outskirts of the game only a few years ago after being released by the Athletics. Since the Blue Jays took a chance on him, he's gone from minor-leaguer, to MLB bench player, to breaking the postseason record for most hits in a single playoff run, to making team USA at the WBC, and is now the starting second baseman for the American League at the All-Star Game. He just might make America fall in love with him tonight, and at +6500 odds, you have to take that chance.
