2026 Farmers Insurance Open Odds, Pick & TV Schedule: Brooks Koepka Returns to Torrey Pines

Brooks Koepka makes his official return to the PGA Tour this week, but Xander Schauffele is the outright betting favorite by the Farmers Insurance Open odds for who'll win at Torrey Pines.

Xander Schauffele stays atop the Farmers Insurance Open odds, with his best odds to win of +1475 via DraftKings representing an implied win probability of 6.35%, ahead of tomorrow's first round at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego. Brooks Koepka makes his return to competitive golf this week, and he sports +6600 odds to win the Farmers Insurance Open (1.49% implied win probability).

Scottie Scheffler isn't in the 147-man field after winning his first event of the season last week, so the rest of the strong field should have a chance, and bettors stand to turn a meaningful profit. Three of the past four winners of the Farmers Insurance Open had outright odds of +6000 or longer.

When is the Farmers Insurance Open?

⏰️ PGA Tour schedule change

The Farmers Insurance Open has typically ran from Wednesday through Saturday of the week of the NFL Conference Championships, so as to not compete against the NFL for TV ratings on Sunday. This year, with The Sentry canceled as the season-opening event, this tournament was bumped back. It will run from Thursday through Sunday, during the week ahead of the Super Bowl.

💰 My first click to win the Farmers Insurance Open

Will Zalatoris (+4700)

Will Zalatoris made his long-awaited return from a back injury last week in La Quinta, Calif., and finished T-18 in The American Express while matching Jason Day with the best Sunday round (64) on the Stadium Course. That performance in his fourth competitive round in as many days should relieve any concerns about his durability coming into a second straight event.

Zalatoris, once ranked as high as 7th in the OWGR, begins this week at No. 211 in the world. That's grossly skewed after he missed the majority of last season, and it's inflating these odds at a course where he has past experience and success. He was the runner-up in 2022 and finished inside the top 25 each of the past two years.

Zalatoris is a popular pick at the Farmers Insurance Open this week, as his outright betting odds have dropped from a high of +5700 on Monday morning. That's fine be me, and I'd bet him down to +4000 in this strong but top-heavy field. I was impressed with his game last week, especially his ball striking and putting.

🏆 Who's favored to win the Farmers Insurance Open?

Xander Schauffele (+1475)

Schauffele is the betting favorite as the top-ranked golfer in the 147-man field, sitting sixth in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) to begin his 2026 PGA Tour season. He leads this field with 1.96 true strokes gained across 23 rounds played on the South Course. He had a top Farmers Insurance Open finish of T-2 in 2021 and finished T-9 last year amid a dreadful putting week.

Though Schauffele isn't near the longest hitter in this field, his combination of accuracy has him well ranked in strokes gained: off the tee. He's excellent with his long irons, and that's essential for any success on the South Course, in particular. He'd be my strongest pick among those at the top of the oddsboard, but I'm also sprinkling on a few Farmers Insurance Open long shots to match the recent tournament winner trends.

đŸŠč Brooks Koepka's Farmers Insurance Open odds

Koepka has odds of +6600 via BetRivers to win the Farmers Insurance Open, in his first competitive PGA Tour event of 2026. He hasn't played in the Farmers Insurance Open since 2022, and missed the cut in his last three appearances in this tournament, but he finished T-4 in the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, which played all four rounds on the (more difficult) South Course.

Koepka's lack of success in this event and his rust from non-major competitive play have me staying far away from any bets on the five-time major winner this week. It also needs to be noted that he missed the cut in three of the four majors last year and hasn't had a top-10 finish outside of LIV Golf since he won the PGA Championship three years ago. It should also be noted that Koepka's major odds are all +4500 or longer heading into this week.

Avoid the hype of this return. It'll take Koepka time to shake off the rust and re-prove his worth in 72-hole events. For those who can't resist, see Dustin Saracini's Farmers Insurance Open picks for his best bet on Koepka.

💡 How I'm betting the Farmers Insurance Open

The Farmers Insurance Open is one of my favorite tournaments to handicap and bet. Torrey Pines Golf Course provides one of the stiffest tests we see during the PGA Tour's West Coast swing. That's a welcomed reprieve after the birdie fest last week, and in Hawaii before that.

I look closely at course history and our key stats. Recent form is a nice-to-have, but not essential as this is still the first (or second) tournament for most of the best golfers in the field. Our Dustin Saracini looks at how to bet Brooks Koepka this week.

Torrey Pines course info & key stats

Here's what to know to handicap the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course. This tournament is split between the North and South courses for the first two rounds, with each golfer playing both courses in the first two days. Rounds 3 and 4 will be played on the South Course for those who make the cut. The South Course is historically the much more difficult of the two, and is over 500 yards longer than the North Course.

Course Yardage Greens Architect
North Course Par: 72 | 7,258 yards Poa annua Tom Weiskopf (2016)
South Course Par: 72 | 7,765 yards Poa annua Rees Jones (2019)

Key stats

  • Strokes gained: approach
  • Par 4 scoring average
  • Strokes gained: off-the-tee
  • Proximity from 200-plus yards
  • 3-putt avoidance
