✂️ Masters 2026 projected cut line: Who’s making the cut?

Justin Rose (-280)

If you’re looking for a lock to play the weekend, look no further than Rose. He is making his 21st Masters start and has one of the highest cut-made percentages in tournament history. Fresh off a T-10 finish in 2025 where he pushed McIlroy to a playoff, Rose's familiarity with the course ensures he won't let one bad hole sink his week.

Bubba Watson (-128)

As a two-time champion, Bubba Watson is one of the most intriguing veteran plays for the 2026 Masters. While he is no longer a top-tier favorite, his unique left-handed game and history at Augusta National make him a strong candidate to play through the weekend and make the cut at -128 betting odds. Augusta National is a "specialist's course," and Watson is one of only 18 players to win multiple green jackets. He's made the cut in 14 of his 17 career starts at the Masters. Most notably, he's coming off a T-14 finish in 2025

🤑 Betting on the Masters cut line

Bettors can wager on a player to either make or miss the cut, with "to make" being the more common play. At the 2026 Masters, Round 1 and 2 on Thursday and Friday determine the cut line, which ultimately decides who gets to chase the green jacket on the weekend.

A single cut is made after the first 36 holes of play. Those who make the cut on the leaderboard, including ties, advance to the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday (top 50). Those who shoot worse than the projected cut line (3-over) are eliminated and do not continue into the weekend. This prop market is a favorite for bettors looking for daily action rather than holding a ticket on a Masters outright winner for four days.

❓Masters cut rule

The Masters employs one of the strictest cut rules in major championship golf. After 36 holes, the field is reduced to the top 50 players and ties. Unlike most standard PGA Tour events that cut to the top 65, Augusta National's smaller, invite-only field leads to a tighter cutoff. Because ties are included, the number of players who advance can vary slightly. While the cut line is set at the top 50, the weekend field often exceeds that number if multiple players are tied at the cutoff.

❓Masters 2026 projected cut line FAQs

What is the projected cut line at the Masters?

For the 2026 Masters, sportsbooks and projections have the cut line expected around +3 to +3.5 over par after the first two rounds. This is based on betting markets that show the projected Masters cut line near +3.5 (some books differ slightly).

How is the Masters cut line determined?

At The Masters, a 36‑hole cut is made after two rounds (Thursday and Friday). Only the top 50 players and ties advance to play on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). This rule has been in place in recent years; previously, a 10‑shot rule also applied but was removed in 2020 so only the top 50 and ties now make the cut.

What was the Masters cut line in previous years?

The cut line was 2-over last year, and 6-over in 2024. This year, we're looking at 3-over across the first two rounds at Augusta.
