Cy Young Odds & Favorites 2026: Greene Injury Causes Shakeup in NL Top 5
The Cy Young odds got a major shakeup this week. While NL favorites Paul Skenes, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Cristopher Sanchez are flexing their talents at the WBC, fellow Cy Young contender Hunter Greene has suffered a major injury and is no longer in contention.
Greene is having bone chips removed from his throwing elbow and is unlikely to pitch until at least July. With him eliminated from the race, Chris Sale and Logan Webb join the top five in the NL. The Cincinnati Reds right-hander looked to finally be meeting expectations these last couple of years, but he'll once again miss an extended portion of the season.
