San Francisco is just 5-14 in its last 19 games at Dodger Stadium. So while Los Angeles just snapped a four-game losing streak in which it lost each game by at least four runs (its first such streak since 1936), its home dominance of its rivals is too much to overlook.

Entering this series, the Giants offense ranked 29th in on-base percentage, 30th in home runs per game, 27th in slugging, and last in runs per game. It had also only won three of its previous 16 at Dodger Stadium, while collectively batting .202 and averaging 3.5 runs.

San Francisco’s offense is now clicking, pounding out 15 runs while going 8-for-23 with runners in scoring position in the first two games. I’m not worried about the Dodgers’ ability to score while ranking second in wRC+ and wOBA, making the Over the more sensible play while avoiding high moneyline prices.

Max Muncy Over 0.5 RBIs (+185)

Max Muncy has hit 220 career home runs with the Dodgers, leaving him nine shy of passing Ron Cey for the fifth-most in franchise history. He snapped a six-game RBI drought with back-to-back two-RBI games in which he homered in on Sunday and Monday, and he shouldn’t endure many more such droughts given how frequently those in the lineup are getting on base in front of him.

Despite struggling with a .229/.341/.429 slash line this month, Muncy’s .917 OPS is still on pace to be the second-highest of his career (and best since 2018). Landen Roupp also allows an OPS 54 points higher to left-handed batters than righties, and I expect the Dodgers to make him pay much more than the one run they scored against him when he walked a season-high five batters on April 21.

Rafael Devers to hit a home run (+406)

In 31 games between March and April, Rafael Devers slashed .207/.248/.289 with six extra-base hits and a 50 wRC+. But through the first 10 games of May, Devers was slashing .364/.436/.758 with seven extra-base hits and an eye-popping 222 wRC+.

Devers has increased his OPS from .530 over the first 30 games to .677 currently, and he has more home runs in the last six games (three) than he did over the first 36 (two). 

Devers now faces Emmet Sheehan, who ranks in the bottom fourth of all qualified pitchers in barrel rate, and who has allowed a .921 OPS (and all six of his home runs) to left-handed hitters.

Those that prefer to back Los Angeles' moneyline or runline odds are doing so at their own risk considering the team's 1-4 record and minus-16 run differential over the last five games. Even if the Dodgers' moneyline odds were more affordable, there is more value on the total, even though I'm bucking the trend that the Under has cashed in eight of San Francisco's last 10 road games.

Los Angeles has more or less held firm at its current moneyline odds at the top sports betting sites, despite San Francisco attracting 52% of the moneyline wagers. That suggests there is enough sharp action on the home favorites that oddsmakers did not feel compelled to move shorten the line just yet.

Depending on which side of the total you're on, there is value to be had with the top sportsbooks split between an O/U of 8 and 8.5. BetMGM lowered from an original number of 8.5 down to 8 before returning back to 8.5, whereas Caesars hasn't seen any buyback since lowering to 8. There is a near dead-even betting split with 55% of the early wagers backing the Under.
