The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers for a third consecutive time this season when they meet today at Moda Center in Portland, Ore., with tipoff set for 10 p.m. ET (Peacock). Anthony Edwards has been difficult to contain this season, and I’m backing him for a big night against the Trail Blazers.

Edwards scored just 14 points against the Trail Blazers the last time he faced them - but that came in a 24-point rout. With only a 6.5-point spread today, his performance should resemble the 41 points he scored in Portland on Oct. 22.

The Timberwolves have gone just 4-4 straight up in February, so a blowout is unlikely. Expect Edwards to play 38 or more minutes and easily score 29-plus. BetMGM lists Edwards Over 28.5 points at -105, but I would still consider playing it at any of the best sports betting sites up to -120.

Jerami Grant Under 3.5 rebounds (+102)

Deni Avdija is out tonight, so Grant should go off, right? Sort of. Grant should be Portland's No. 1 option on offense, but his rebounding line is too high. He has recorded three or fewer rebounds in four of his five games in February without Avdija.

Grant’s season-long rebounding stats (3.5 per game) shouldn’t be taken too seriously, as they’re skewed by his 5.6 average in December and the fact that he has played just 42 games. The best odds are +102 at DraftKings, but I would still play this at -110 at any of the best NBA betting sites.

My bankroll strategy is to treat one unit as 1 percent of the money I’ve set aside exclusively for sports betting.

I bet to win 1 unit on each of these wagers, as I’m confident directionally in these plays, but the numbers aren’t far off from where I’d price them. If larger edges were available, I would consider risking up to 2.5 units per bet. It's interesting that Donovan Clingan's Under 15.5 rebounds + assists (-130) is the most-bet player prop at BetMGM tonight, but the odds have moved to -118.

With two of the Trail Blazers' top three rebounders, Avdija and Robert Williams III, either out or questionable, I would caution against playing an Under on Clingan's rebounds. His Under 12.5 rebounds (-110) odds have also moved in the opposite direction to -105.
