Expect the streaking Golden Knights to continue finding the net tonight versus Utah.

The Golden Knights drew first blood on Sunday with a 4-2 victory, but a young Mammoth squad held its own, leading the game 2-1 early in the third period.

That may have many looking to back Utah as the +130 underdogs in tonight's Game 2 at T-Mobile Arena (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). But my Mammoth vs. Golden Knights prediction is looking the other way. My score prediction is also anticipating a higher-scoring affair, with Vegas captain Mark Stone playing a key role once again.

🏆 Who will win Mammoth vs. Golden Knights?

The Golden Knights' experience shone through in Game 1, when they found a way to win without their best performance. I'm expecting a better showing from the veteran Vegas squad tonight as the Golden Knights improve on their 8-0-1 record under new head coach John Tortorella.

Score prediction: Golden Knights 5, Mammoth 2

💰 Mammoth vs. Golden Knights prediction & best bet

Over 6 (-105)

While Vegas' defense has been better under Tortorella, the Knights' attack has come alive as well. Vegas has found the net at least four times in seven of its last 10 contests.

With Utah focused on generating more offense tonight, look for increased opportunities for the Knights on the counterattack as Vegas exploits a Mammoth D that's given up 20 goals over its last five games.

🔥 Best Mammoth vs. Golden Knights player prop bet

Mark Stone Over 0.5 points (-160)

Stone is known for stepping up his game when the stakes are higher, and that's exactly what the Vegas captain did in Game 1. He led all forwards in ice time, fired four shots on net, and provided the game-tying goal early in the third period to spark the Knights' comeback.

Going back to the regular season, Stone has now logged points in eight of his last 11 games, and seven points in his previous five outings. Facing a Utah squad that's struggling defensively, Stone should once again be a key cog in the Vegas attack tonight. BetMGM's -160 odds are the best available price for a bet I'm comfortable playing up to -180.

🚀 Mammoth vs. Golden Knights same-game parlay

If there's one thing I'm banking on tonight, it's the Golden Knights continuing to score. That means Utah needs to open things up to keep pace and try to tie the series, making it even more likely we see a high-scoring affair tonight, and the Knights covering. Stone leads by example and should be in the middle of the offense once again.

💵 Mammoth vs. Golden Knights SGP picks

  • Golden Knights -1.5 (-160)
  • Over 5.5 (-138)
  • Mark Stone Over 0.5 points (-178)

Best odds: +303 via FanDuel (0.5u -> 1.52u)

💡 How I'm betting Mammoth vs. Golden Knights

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

Utah struggled defensively down the stretch and then let a third-period lead slip away in Game 1 by allowing three unanswered goals. That has me looking to back the red-hot Golden Knights' attack in as many ways as possible, including full unit plays on the Vegas moneyline and the Over. Betting on Mark Stone and other Vegas forwards in the player prop market is another way to cash in on the Mammoth's recent defensive woes.

📊 Live Mammoth vs. Golden Knights odds: Game 2

Vegas closed as a -150 moneyline favorite at most of the best NHL betting sites for Game 1, and the Golden Knights have been priced in the same range for tonight's rematch. The total is also similar, set at 6 with relatively even juice on both sides. After seeing the Mammoth hold a third-period lead in the series opener, many bettors may be tempted to back Utah in a bounce-back spot, so we could see the moneyline move slightly toward the visitors.
