The NASCAR Cup Series heads to its first 1.5-mile intermediate track of the season this week, which means there's little suspense atop the NASCAR odds and favorites to win the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday (4 p.m. ET, FS1) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kyle Larson is the betting favorite to win the Pennzoil 400 as he seeks his first win of the season at a track he's conquered three times before. He's priced just ahead of Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin, who took the top two spots in the starting grid after a strong showing in Saturday's qualifying.

Here's a look at the latest Pennzoil 400 odds with my favorite targets for Sunday's race at Las Vegas.

🎲 Will Larson win big in Las Vegas?

Larson is the best driver in NASCAR on 1.5-mile intermediate tracks, and this track is arguably his best of the entire Cup Series circuit. He's won three times here (2021, 2023, 2024) while leading a combined 190 laps in both races here last season, neither wins.

He led over 130 laps in both of his trips to Victory Lane in the Next Gen car, sweeping both stages in each race, so it's going to be tough for anyone else in the field to catch him if he gets out to clean air early on. That's why he's dealing at such a short price compared to the field, especially after last week's strong qualifying run and P3 finish.

Larson is also going to be pulling "triple-duty" in Las Vegas while racing in the Cup Series, O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, and the High Limit Sprint Car Series in the same weekend. We've seen the No. 5 driver rise to the occasion under pressure in the past - it's hard to bet against him pulling it off this weekend in Sin City.

🔥 More NASCAR contenders at Las Vegas

Here's a look at the other top contenders to win Sunday's Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

Denny Hamlin (+475)

Hamlin won the fall race here last October, but that marked just his second top-five finish in the Next Gen era and first time he finished better than eighth since 2022. That said, he's won here twice in his career (2021, 2025) and is coming off a top-five finish at Phoenix despite a poor qualifying run, so it's hard to count him out entirely.

Christopher Bell (+500)

Larson is the man to beat on 1.5-milers, but Bell might be the most dangerous driver at this track as of late. He won the pole and finished second in two of his last five races here - leading 61 laps in 2023 and 155 laps in 2024 - and took third in the last race here in October. He has four top-five finishes in his last six starts here with a top-three finish in each of his last two races; he's clearly a live bet to win this weekend.

William Byron (+600)

Byron finished 36th last fall but led 55 laps before a wreck took him out, which snapped a streak of five straight top-10 finishes dating back to his spring win in 2023. He's led at least one lap in all six of those Las Vegas races with three top-five finishes in that stretch, and he's been out front in each of the last two races, too.

Ryan Blaney (+600)

Blaney is coming off his first win of the season at Phoenix, where he led 28 laps and overcome multiple setbacks to pull ahead late, and he has a history of top-five finishes at this track. That hasn't been the case as of late, though, with three straight finishes outside the top 30 following a pair of race-ending wrecks last season.

💰 Early picks & best bets at Las Vegas

Here's a look at the best values on the board looking ahead to Sunday's race:

Joey Logano (+1400)

Logano is becoming a mainstay in this "early values" section because oddsmakers continue to discount the three-time Cup Series champion despite his strong track record. That's the case at Las Vegas, too: he's won here twice in the Next Gen era (2022, 2024) while leading at least one lap in six of the last seven races here. He was blazing fast last week at Phoenix before getting shuffled to the back late; don't count him out.

Ross Chastain (+1400)

Chastain has been one of the most consistent drivers in the desert, finishing in the top five in six of the eight races at Las Vegas in the Next Gen era. He ranks third behind only Larson and Byron in average points earned at this track, per NASCAR data guru Daniel Cespedes, with the best average finish of anyone in the field. This feels a little short for Chastain in a vacuum, but at this track, it could be well worth the wager.

Alex Bowman (+3500)

I'm surprised to see Bowman dealing at such long odds even after missing last week's race at Phoenix. He won the first Next Gen race at this track in 2022, finished in the top five in 2023 and 2024, and posted a pair of P7 finishes last year. He's been one of the most consistent drivers at Las Vegas and should be priced much shorter than this, especially given Hendrick Motorsports' success at this track.

🏆 Past NASCAR winners at Las Vegas

Here's a look at the last eight winners at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Next Gen era:

Race Winner Team Laps led
Fall 2025 Denny Hamlin Joe Gibbs Racing 9
Spring 2025 Josh Berry Wood Brothers Racing 18
Fall 2024 Joey Logano Team Penske 6
Spring 2024 Kyle Larson Hendrick Motorsports 181
Fall 2023 Kyle Larson Hendrick Motorsports 133
Spring 2023 William Byron Hendrick Motorsports 176
Fall 2022 Joey Logano Team Penske 32
Spring 2022 Alex Bowman Hendrick Motorsports 16

Hendrick Motorsports won three consecutive spring races here from 2022-24 (Bowman, Byron, Larson) before Josh Berry broke the streak last year. The laps led column tells the broader story: when Larson or Byron has won here, they've absolutely dominated. Last year's race was a little more chaotic - 32 lead changes, 13 different leaders - but this is still the type of race where early track position and efficient pit stops rule the day.
