James already left Cleveland in 2018, and itโs not like the Lakers were contenders when he teamed up with Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. His family has lived in L.A. for nearly a decade, and his production and media company is also based in the city.
While a return to Cleveland would likely give him the best chance to win a fifth NBA championship, Iโm not convinced he wants to leave L.A. at this stage of his career. The Lakers would also likely welcome him back after he helped lead them to a first-round upset over the Houston Rockets.
